A Big Bag of Bedrooms

March 7, 2011

I  have some awesome bedrooms for you today. I like these especially because there is a pretty big range of styles represented. The bedroom is the most personal room in a home so it can be a really great place to let your personality shine. I’m hoping you may see something inspiring in these images; there’s something to love in each of them.

The colors in this room are so peaceful, and I love the choice of bedding and the way they were so expertly layered. Designed by Tara Seawright via Houzz.

Some people find arched ceilings like these off-putting but I think they make this room cozy and intimate. Via desire to inspire.

If you want your bedroom to help you clear your mind, using a lot of white and leaving the walls bare could be an option. The lack of excess furniture is really exaggerating the square footage of this room. I love when a bedroom is large enough to keep the bed off of the walls. Via emmas designblogg.

Okay let’s be honest. The reason this room is so outstanding is really all thanks to that breathtaking view. Fulcrum Structural Engineering via Houzz.

Another beautiful view, this time giving you the feeling you’re sleeping in the middle of the forest. Also working for this room is its lovely wooden ceiling. Dwyer Design via Houzz.

Another serene bedroom dominated by white. I love the way it has been styled. Via emmas designblogg.

Beautiful bedding and plenty of plant life makes me swoon over this bedroom. Stadshem via 79 ideas.

This is a product shot for the bedding by AURA. Chevron stripes are a great (and popular) pattern to use in the home. I love how there is some clutter in this room but it is so well styled that it comes off as lived-in and cozy. AURA via decor8.

I really really like the simple bare one with the black platform bed (although I don’t know how I feel about the roof–arches are great, but it looks a little too much like a barn), but you didn’t say where the design is from! Add to that some shoji-style doors like in the Dwyer Design and it would be perfect!

Oh man you’re right I forgot to credit that one! I will edit the post right away with the link. Unfortunately, the source I got it from ( only credited as their source so we don’t know the designer. 🙁

I’m glad you like that one, Liz. I thought most readers would find that one too bare, but there really is something alluring about that simplicity. I’m guessing that bedroom is a converted attic, hence the barn-like ceiling. I think the room is large enough and the white is modern enough that I would still enjoy it despite the sloping. 🙂
