Take A Bath

March 9, 2011

Here’s some great bathrooms for you. These are my favorites from nearly 3 months of collecting images. I’m excited to share them with you but now I’m eager to run out and find more!

Love the high-gloss modern tub and the tasteful wall decal adding some much-needed flair. I know bird decor is a bit over-done lately but I have always loved birds. There are ways to use the motif without seeming like a trend monster. Via Tara Sloggett.

Another nice tub but I really love this because of the cute little fishy! Choosing an unconventional place for the fish bowl really works for this space. Robert Quasius via Houzz.

The natural light gives this bathroom a warm glow and the plant life makes it feel almost exotic. I love large open shower areas like this. Via desire to inspire via Sunset.

I hope by now you know that I rarely can resist a room outfitted in white, green, and wood tones. I am perplexed by the stones under the bench but I find them strangely pleasing. It seems as though the designer wanted to give this bathroom a touch of Oriental garden aesthetic. Via Bolaget Inspiration.

I have to admit that I wasn’t drawn to this room so much because of it’s bathroom elements but really just because of that beautiful modern chair with a luxuriously soft fur throw. What do you think of having a sitting area in a bathroom? Is it nice or unnecessary? Via desire to inspire via Jim Stephenson.

Directly to the left of this scene is a free-standing tub (with a shower head too interestingly enough), but it was this little area of this bathroom that really caught my eye. IKEA’s Lindved side table provides both function and a place for little pretty things (and it costs only $19.99). How incredible would it be to have a stove like that to keep you toasty warm in the bathroom? Via Livet Hemma.

This is classically beautiful. A wonderful mix of light and dark materials plus sweet little details. Feldman Architecture via Houzz.

If the bathroom is roomy enough, a sitting area could be a nice touch. The chair is really sweet. I see it as more of a decor touch rather than a functional part of the bathroom. Personally, if I’m going to sit for a while in a bathroom, I will choose the commode. And I sure would not sit on that fur throw if I was fresh out of the shower or tub unless I wanted to look like the abominable snowman.
