Decorate Outdoor

Inside Out

May 7, 2011

I am making pretty decent progress on my bathroom remodel! I primed the walls, two of which have never been painted (they were previously wallpapered) so getting a fresh layer of white primer up really had a huge impact. I’m starting to see the potential this room has! The walls will most likely be painted a light gray. I’m excited to slap up a couple samples and see what strikes my fancy!

For your viewing pleasure today I have some inspirational photos that will swing us back and forth between the indoor and the outdoor. There is some rhyme and reason to it all as I’ve rounded up indoor images that focus on beautiful floral arrangements. So if you haven’t the space or resources to emulate one of these lovely outdoor areas, bring the outdoors in with an interior decoration that is always in style and always uplifting: flowers!

I adore this table arrangement. Don’t be afraid to break up a bouquet into several vases. This technique could be helpful if you’re intimidated by the prospect of arranging a bouquet; just invest in a bunch of bud vases! Even plants that are meant as filler pieces can be unexpectedly gorgeous by themselves. Photographed by Patric Johansson via Söderberg Agentur.

That view is killing me. I am a bit obsessed with mountains. How wonderful to have a cozy spot like this to dine and enjoy the landscape. Photographed by Patric Johansson via Söderberg Agentur.

This scene just makes me melt. It is so precious and thoughtful. I would love to create a setting like this for a special event or party. Via the style files.

Just stunning. A living sculpture. Via Micasa.

Loving these rich, vibrant colors. That hammock looks like it may be a little tricky to navigate but I’d give it a try for sure. Via decorology via Rue Magazine.

Isn’t this breathtaking? I immediately think of The Secret Garden. I think an elaborate and aged walled garden just found its way into my dream home. Designed by Sandy Koepke via Houzz.

This is just about the cheeriest thing I have ever laid eyes on. I’m having a bit of a tiff with tulips as a species right now because the ones I purchased a while back rotted and wilted quite quickly. This enormous wide-mouthed bowl is the perfect solution to keeping those fragile stems standing tall. Via My White Room.
