Bright & Fun Dining Rooms

May 23, 2011

I love the striped cushions on these dining chairs. Real estate company Bolaget really knows how to bring a room to life with plant life. I have been woefully discovering that I do not have the greenest of thumbs. Must remember to water my one potted plant!

As far as I’m concerned you can never go wrong with a rustic barn table. I also adore this muted, romantic color palette. The lovely Gwyneth Paltrow had a hand in this wonderful table setting, and you can read about virtually every detail of it at Remodelista (photographed by Simon Bevan, via desire to inspire).

This is such a great room, but to me the real star is the artwork. I love birds and that vintage-looking print on the wall is gorgeous! Photographed by Petra Bindel, via the style files.

Ending with a bang here today! A bright pink dining table may not be for everyone, but it sure is a stunner! The flowers add so much by playing off the color. And check out the interesting architecture of the door in the background. I love the juxtaposition of the pristine, modern table set with the chipped and faded look of the door. I really like those candle holders? in the third picture.

Yeah I stared at them for a moment unsure of what they are; I’m thinking candle holders is the best guess. But clearly they are pretty enough whatever they are to be used alone as little sculptures. And such nice colors!

Lovely exemples! I love dining rooms that are bright, lively, fun and lifts your spirits up.

Agree on the candle holders, ‘freemover’s, they are very popular. Swedish design!
