Yesterday I decided to look out my window. The one in my absurdly dark bedroom. This is how a photo turns out in the middle of the day with the light on.
My kitty cat Milo was curious too.
No, my cat is not magically floating in the second photo above. You can’t see it too well but I am holding his hind side up. And this is what we saw…
Okay that’s not so great, you probably can’t see it.
THAT’s what we saw. Some purple. Way out there.
Here is what all that lovely purple looked like up close. Wild flowers growing in a vacant lot behind my home. (Click the photo for a better look.) A large building burned down in this spot several years ago. These flowers have grown up from the ashes. A wonderful reminder to always look for beauty even when you’re not expecting it. I wanted bunches and bunches of the stuff.
But as you can see, there was a fence preventing too much bunching and bunching. I managed to gather a bit.
And here’s how they look in my home. The stems are quite weak, as you can see they don’t really stand up straight. But I love them just the way they are. They really have the personality of a wild flower with their untamed twists and turns. You do not need to be some kind of amazing floral arranger to enjoy plants in your home. These aren’t the prettiest thing I’ve ever seen, but I love having a touch of my authentic natural surroundings making an appearance indoors.
And Milo approves. He sat and posed like a handsome little man for several minutes, so they must be some real good flowers.Like This Post
