I am starting to have considerable difficulty coming up with titles for my posts. Very rarely do all my images have anything in common, other than the fact that they are all the same room. And there’s only so many ways you can say “Living Rooms” cleverly. The following are the actual titles I have used: Rooms for Living, Lovely Living, White-Walled Living, Style in the Living Room.
I’m hitting a wall here, folks. Would it bother you terribly if I started titling a lot of my posts simply by the room that is featured? I’m talking just a simple “Living Rooms”. Or a better question is, would it bother me? It kind of would, I think. I don’t want to be boring, nor do I want dozens of posts with the same name. Somebody please advise me on this.
Earlier this week I had something of a squeal-fest over the work of Jessica Helgerson Interior Design, which I discovered through Design*Sponge. These designs… are incredible. This is the first of many of her rooms that I will share with you in the near future. Some reasons why I love this room: the wood storage, sculptural light fixture, plant life, white brick, gorgeous floors, and more!
The spots of pale, pastel colors in this room are perfect. The prevalence of white, however, is just a touch beyond my comfort zone. Different flooring or even just some colorful window dressings to break it up would make a big difference. Via Analeenas HEM.

Whoa! It’s okay if you’re surprised, because I am too. Very rarely would I like a room so completely saturated in color, but I love this! The colors work so well together. This room feels vibrant and upbeat, and its a welcome interruption for me from my usual parade of much more subdued color schemes. I especially love the floor lamp and the artwork (which coincidentally was also in another living room shot I shared with you a while back). Via desire to inspire.
Gray walls… yum. Via Sköna Hem.
It’s hard to tell, but I believe this wall color is a creamy off-white, and I bet just that slight shade difference is warming up this room considerably more than stark white would. This is a concept that I’m trying to explore more, because despite how much I love white, I can’t imagine actually having a completely white home one day. So alternatives like this are very interesting to me. I also love this room’s chandelier, rug, and all the colorful accessories. Via Dream rooms.Like This Post
