Last night I watched the latest episode of HGTV’d, a relatively new show on one of my favorite networks. This episode featured Jamie Durie, an amazing designer famous for the “outdoor room” (which is the name of his show). He creates the most beautiful, jaw-dropping outdoor spaces that I have ever seen. It appears the inspiration has stuck with me because this morning I’ve decided to show you the images of outdoor design that I’ve been gathering lately. And I may even find the motivation to tidy up my own little deck. But probably not. But maybe!
This is such a great example of how a stunning view is not a requirement in order to have a wonderful outdoor space. Cozy outdoor seating and a spot to rest your drink are all you need to spend a pleasant afternoon soaking in some sun. Via Alvhem Estate and Interior.
This and the following image are both from my latest design crush, Jessica Helgerson. I love the simplicity of this spot and how its arrangement encourages conversation.
This is from the same home as above, which sits on the Oregon coast and was looking particularly misty and gorgeous when these photos were taken. I adore that firepit. Also, there are butt prints in those benches. Awesome.

This looks like the perfect spot to take a nap. I probably wouldn’t want to use quite so much color and floral print on a deck of my own, but I would love to vacation here. Positively dreamy. Via sea sex & sun.Like This Post
