Living Rooms for Every Style

November 9, 2011

I dove into my next home improvement project last night! It’s pretty small scale this time, but absolutely necessary. I’m patching some drywall holes and putting up a freshly stained handrail with new brackets. I’ll save the details for a later post.

The first five images today all come from a website I stumbled upon recently, Schöner Wohnen. I have no idea what that means, but they sure do have pretty pictures!

Isn’t this just incredible? While chartreuse is not my favorite color, it works perfectly here in the rug. That chandelier is too much for my little heart to handle. I doubt I’ll ever have a space that could pull that off but wouldn’t it be wonderful? Photographed by Stephen Thurmann via Schöener Wohnen.

This room needs a little less woody wicker tones and a little more color, but it still looks like an incredibly cozy place to hang out. I love the use of two chaises side by side. Photographed by Heike Schroeder via Schöener Wohnen.

I seriously doubt I would ever choose this particular pink striped print for a piece of furniture, but I sure do love it. I also love the form of the sectional, although it doesn’t look overly comfortable. Great light fixture too. By architect Guilherme Torres via desire to inspire.

Whoa. Whoa. This is definitely not my style, but whoa. The use of color here is just amazing. This room would be so stuffy if wasn’t for the bright hues. Via Elle Decor España.

I have completely fallen for the Native American trend. The patterns and colors are just so beautiful and fun. This rug is perfection. What do you think of Native American inspired pieces? Via Apartment Therapy.
