Bedrooms For Your Weekend

May 25, 2012

It takes me a lot longer to write a blog post with my cat on my lap. But he’s so cute! I hope you all have fun plans for the weekend. I’m working as normal but I will be traveling to the Chicago area on Monday to see family. So I’ll see you Tuesday!

Nothing stunning about this bedroom, and yet it is so attractive, wouldn’t you agree? Patterned colors layered on the bed, a creamy neutral backdrop, and sunlight streaming in. Makes for a very welcoming space. The home of Emma Reddington via Shop Talk.

Another totally simple space. Some well chosen colors and quirky art pulls it all together. Alvhem Makleri via My White Room.

FABULOUS tapestry hanging behind this bed. Photographed by Tim Beddow for Architectural Digest.

I just love that bed. And the rug. And the architecture. Beautiful. Designed by Madeline Stuart, photographed by Dominique Vorillon for Elle Decor via The Beautiful Soup.

So much pretty. While I normally like more color, the soft neutral hues here are really calming and I dig it. If you’re going monochromatic, it’s a good idea to use various textures as they did here to keep things visually interesting. Boston Magazine via Leslie Shewring on Pinterest, repinned from Kathy Davis.

Um, awesome. Pink is just so great. Also there’s a swan on the wall. Duh. The home of Taylor Tomasi Hill for Vogue via Stylekoo.

Ah! I love this so much! The screen behind the bed, the blue drapery, the bench, the RUG. The all of it. Designed by Nick Olsen for New Trad, via Savvy Home.
