A little daring, a little Danish.

How was your weekend?! Mine was awesome. Saturday my boyfriend surprised me with tickets to see Cirque du Soleil(!) and then we went to one of my most favorite restaurants, The Electric Cheetah. Also my sister is in town and we are totally going to go watch The Avengers tonight. We’ve both already seen it, but not together, and that movie is really really good. Due to my weekend job at the movie theater I can get in for free for more Thor and Company goodness. Yes, Thor is my favorite and for exactly the reasons you’re thinking.

And now for the stuff you come here for.

Um whoa. Crazy town but also awesome town. The home of Diane von Furstenberg, photographed by François Halard for Architectural Digest.

Love the Danish Modern lines of those chairs. And that window! From ‘A Quiet Achiever’, a story from Vogue Living Mar/April 2012. Photograph by Mikkel Vang.

That crown molding is pretty sweet. But my favorite part is the colorful accents, especially the blanket. The home of Victoria of SF Girl by Bay, photographed by Bonnie Tsang, via i.go.blog.

Clearly I have a thing for Danish design (note the Wegner Wishbone Chairs). The home of photographer Jonas Ingerstedt, via i.go.blog.

What an irresistible nook. The light, the comfort, the view. The home of Tobi Tobin for Lonny, via Savvy Home.

I can’t see myself living in such an ornate place, but if I could have that rug I would seriously consider it. Such gorgeous pinks and golds! I’m also interested in the wall color here. It appears to be a creamy super-light peach, almost like antique white with just a bit more color. The home of L’Wren Scott and Mick Jagger, photographed by Francois Halard for Vogue.

My mind has been spinning with wall color ideas because I hope to paint my full bathroom soon. I’ll probably end up doing a whole post just about choosing a color because I may need some help with the decision!

  1. Beautiful selections! I love the Danish Modern Vogue pic, and I agree, I’d live anywhere with that rug.

  2. Amazing pictures! I think you’ve converted me to a Danish design worshipper.
