What I Love About These Rooms

July 9, 2012

Soft whites provide a great backdrop for shots of feminine color. That faceted lamp base is sweet! And what a stunning flower arrangement. Still dreaming of the day I might have fresh flowers throughout my home. The home of Bailey Quin, which is newly remodeled and fabulous.

So cute! A fresh coat of super light minty blue accented with surprising little coral feet. Such a simple way to create so much interest. I also adore the colors in that painting. By 508 Restoration & Design.

A great way to keep a black and white palette from seeming stark or flat is to use some living greens. I’m in love with that little tree. Helt Enkelt via

I’ve been staring at this and I only just realized that the plants intertwined in that trellis are actually the potted plants on the sill. How cool! Leixlip Castle via My White Room.

I may be the only design-obsessed person who has never liked Juju hats. They belong on a Cameroonian man’s head… not on a wall. But that’s just my opinion. What I love about this room is the rug, pillows, and that flat-file cabinet. I was unable to find a source for this image. Please let me know if you know who I can credit!

I’m pretty much obsessed with this dark blue color. I love how these shelves strike a happy medium between looking casual but also well styled. The home of Zoe Johns and Max Catalano, photographed by Liz Daly via Design*Sponge.

A mid-century credenza, a beautiful rug, and a kitty! All those things add up to make me a happy girl! The home of Caitlin Mociun via Houzz.
