Luxury in the Bathroom

August 13, 2012

Monday morning doesn’t seem so bad when you know next Monday you will be on your way to Sleeping Bear Dunes. I can’t remember the last time I took a whole week off from work so I’m quite looking forward to the rest and relaxation. For many people a quick bit of R & R can be found in their luxurious bathroom. How important is your bathroom to you? Do you want it all tricked out or just the basics?

I love the simple yet shiny white surfaces. I always admire bathrooms that store towels out in the open, rolled up in cute baskets or casually draped over something like this ladder. And a little bit of green plant life is always welcome. Hotel Mallorca via nicety.

Painfully luxurious. In truth it’s too much for me, but if I was a guest I would be utterly dazzled. By architect Ralph Duesing and decorator John Bobbitt, photographed by Steve Wrubel for PaperCity Mag.

I think I could shed a few tears over this tile. Not so sure about the floor but the walls kill me. Designed by Paola Navone, photographed by Maz Zambelli for Italian Elle Decor via i.go.blog.

Black and white are possibly my favorite colors for the bathroom. Allow me to direct your attention to that stunning windowVia my ideal home.

Creamy beige’s don’t always work for me but in this case it suits the room wonderfully. Love the antique brass finish on the tub hardware and candlesticks. By ML Interior Design.

Pardon my drooling. Seriously this makes my mouth drop. I want to run my hands all over that stunning textural blue-black wall and gorgeous perfectly antiqued metal tub. Even the black towels with surprising little gold trim are adding to the incredible awesomeness of this bathroom. How can I make this mine immediately?
