What is your favorite natural landscape?
Forests, lakes, mountains, open plains, beaches, or is it something else?
My favorite natural landscape is mountains, or even just a very hilly area where the land is always dipping up and down creating interesting plains. Where I live in Michigan the land is largely flat. I visited Guatemala several years ago and was absolutely floored by the beauty of their green mountains. That’s an important distinction: I like green mountains with lots of plant life. Rocky mountains are nice but not my favorite. :)
As much as I favor the rainforest-covered Guatemalan mountains, I also adore hills like in this picture of Tuscany. All neatly cultivated but still an enormous amount of natural beauty.

I, too, love mountains, but I like snowy ones. I dream of someday having a view out some massive floor to ceiling windows onto some beautiful snow-topped mountains, far enough north to see the northern lights from my living room.
In theory I like beaches – how they look and sound, but I hate sand with a firey passion!
