Little Bits of Pink

I love pink. When did this happen? I used to be one of those girls that thought pink was just too girly, that it was only for babies. How could I be so wrong? Pink is frickin’ awesome. Yes, it’s feminine, but with the right shade and in the right application, it can also be edgy, luxurious, and/or downright breathtaking. I often come across rooms that are pretty great that are elevated to pretty incredible just with the addition of the perfect pop of pink. I’m always a sucker for a bouquet of bright pink flowers, and I also adore the subtle creamy coral version of pink on the above bedding.

Okay so, a whole desk isn’t exactly a “little bit” of pink, but it’s still a great example of bringing in the color without letting it take over the room. The bedding in this room is really doing it for me. Are Moroccan wedding blankets still trendy? I still love them.

I love love love this room. It has a perfect balance of white and color, plus the always welcome addition of black with the headboard. It’s been said that every room should have at least some black, so give that a try if you’re stuck wondering what a room is missing. Then we have a huge freaking mural hung on the wall which I adore. My favorite metal, brass, is represented in the wall light. And of course, a wonderful use of pink in the pillows. The room really benefits from a touch of this vibrant feminine color. You can see a lot more of this room here!

I am also no pink girl but recently have added this color to my wardrobe (subtly) and to my interior designing!
