I had no intention of doing this, but it just so happens that a few days after blogging about Using Black in Kitchen Design, I also have some great images of black in bathroom design! So why not keep the theme rolling? Clearly I love black. The above bathroom absolutely stuns me. So gorgeous and modern but also approachable. Magnificent texture in the wood grain.
I simultaneously love this and find it overwhelming. It’s just a too stripey for me. Plus, ugh, chevron is so 2011. I’ll still permit small or more subtle uses of chevron, but this very graphic and stark use of the pattern on the floor is not my jam. But I still like this room. The bird prints may have a lot to do with it.
Gimme. I adore this. Its simplicity and vintage pieces really work well. The reddish pink in the rug is a welcome moment of color. You’ll note that black is very often used with white, because what could possibly be more classic than that? Not only do black and white look good together, the white does a good job of keeping things (literally) light. You can have your dark dramatic walls/tub/tile/trim/etc. without letting the room feel like a light-less cave when there’s a fair amount of white to balance it out.Like This Post
