Embracing Simplicity

The interiors that I am drawn to are not always what you could call “simple”. I often love things that are exciting, bold, and energizing. I think most people could agree, however, that calm and beautifully simple spaces are sometimes the best places to be. We all need to unwind, to clear our minds. The most sparse and neutral design can be the most captivating.

There’s something very zen about this sweet little leaf cutting in an interestingly shaped vase.

The texture of natural linen, a casually frame-less painting, a cute little bedside table with only the necessities, and adding to the sweet and ethereal feeling of this bedroom are clouds of tissue paper hung from the ceiling. This is Daydream Central and I want to be on that train.

I never would have thought that I would adore clouds of tissue paper so much. As much as I love the eclectic look and traditional spaces, there is something to be said for simplicity. Great post.

It’s so crazy how adorable those clouds are, right? It’s the sort of thing that would probably look ridiculous if I tried it, hehe. Thanks so much, Iris!
