I’m often drawn to simple, sparse spaces, and the room that is easily most suited to this is the bathroom. Clean lines and smooth surfaces lend themselves to an environment dedicated to hygiene. And how about that window!
Minimalist doesn’t always mean modern! An extensive use of white and a couple sleek modern fixtures are mixed with the heavy character of old wood floors, a glittering chandelier with ceiling medallion, and of course the claw foot tub. The use of art here is perfect, adding a bit of color and depth.
This doesn’t quite qualify as minimalist, but it still has an airy and fresh feel. That window is a showstopper for sure, and the ridiculously long drapery adds to the grandeur while also giving the room a wonderful softness.
