For a couple weeks now my posts have largely consisted of neutral color palettes. Enough of that! Thank goodness for these rooms and their bold use of color. Above we have the ever magnificent Abigail Ahern with her signature dark walls and playful accessories. She is the queen of playing with scale as you see here with a laughably tall table lamp shade.

Just a perfect hit of vibrant purple magenta in this little stool and matching flowers. It totally wakes up this space. Such a sweet potted plant on the dresser too.

I. Love. This! The pink chair just kills me. This is a great use of modern finishes and colors (hot pink and glossy black) on traditional/vintage pieces. What do you think of the patterned carpet? It’s the type of thing  I would never choose for my own home. I’m too much of a wuss. It’s very hard to pull that off without looking forced, tacky, or too trendy. But I approve of it in this instance. She totally pulls it off, pairing it with these fab pieces.
