A Light White Backdrop

Ah, so fresh and so clean. Yeah, this is a little more white than I’d want in my own home. But man do I ever appreciate this look. That shelving unit is killer and it’s styled to perfection. Maybe it comes naturally to those of Scandinavian influence, but it would require so much restraint from me to use such a limited and light color palette.

I’m going to be totally honest here. I don’t even really like that orange coat rack. It’s cute for sure I’m just not the biggest orange fan usually. I’d rather it be black or navy or mint. But there’s a cat. All you really need to be fabulous is a cat.

Mmm this is delicious. Many of the elements here would be present in my dream kitchen. Gray marble, dark cabinets, modern drawer pulls, even the kitchenware is all in finishes I adore like creamy white, dark wood, and copper. I actually own a vintage copper canister that looks just like those canisters on the bottom left of the shot. They’re not too hard to find. I wish I had at least one more because clearly they have the best effect as a set. Must find another! And then must procure a kitchen with even the slightest bit of spare counter space for displaying such things. Wah wah.

I couldn’t agree with you more. I simply love this look and (full disclosure) wish I had this sort of “simplistic” eye, but when I get to really thinking about it it’s just…. so…. white. I would miss the pops of color and the coziness I feel with colors around me. That being said, it is visually stunning.

Yup, absolutely. I think it’s great if you can appreciate styles that aren’t necessarily your own. Super white Scandinavian designs are actually what first piqued my interest in interior design because they were SO different from anything I’d seen before and that fascinated me. They’re the kind of spaces I’d love to spend a week vacation in but just couldn’t stay forever. Forbidden love.
